Solo Show: Jonathan Cooper Gallery, London, UK
These paintings are meditations on time. They stem from the fragile space between the losses and renewals that fill each day; in the sound of falling leaves, in the smell of rain, and in the fading sky at dusk I catch glimpses of what I can and cannot keep, of what is ending and what is beginning…
Maxwell Alexander Gallery, Los Angeles, California
The ideas for this show came from the landscapes that surround me in western Colorado. I live near the Utah border, and there is an openness and drama to the land here that is wonderful to experience. In these paintings I try to capture moments that are fleeting; the fading colors of dusk, the first light of dawn, and the phases of the moon all seem to hold an extra force, a stronger reminder of what has passed and what is yet to come. These moments are often when I feel most alive, most connected, and most at peace.

Gallery 1261 is proud to announce the opening of a solo exhibition by David Grossman, titled “Inward”. This exhibition is an invitation to look within oneself, to pause and contemplate, giving us as spectators an opportunity to step away from our distractions and disconnections. This new work is a continuation of the artist’s introspective, divinely serene and minimalistic contemplations of nature in its quiet beauty.
David Grossmann will be in the gallery Thursday afternoon, September 13th for a Reception for his new exhibition, Autumn.
Over 20 new works are featured in the show, and the Artist will be available in the gallery to meet and greet guests from 2-4pm.
